The performers stand mere inches from the audience-Hank’s owners simply push away the pool table to make room for the bands that play from Thursday to Sunday-but nobody seems to mind. Local acts (in a rootsy-rockabilly vein) such ass the Coffin Daggers and Reid Paley provide the entertainment, though the odd touring band-most recently the enchanting Black Lipstick from Austin, Texas-has been known to drop by. Don’t miss Sean and Daria’s Country BBQ and Jamboree every Sunday, when the joint literally gets cooking: Hank’s wheels out the Weber while Sean Kershaw and the New Jack Rambler’s fire up the crowd.
